<p>New Delhi [India], June 30 (ANI): United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean Pierre Lacroix thanked India for her contribution to UN Peacekeeping.</p><p>A delegation under Lacroix, along with Military Advisor Lt Gen Carlos Loitey, Police Advisor Luis Carrillo, UN DPKO are on a three-day visit to India from 28-30 June.</p><p>The aim of the visit is to thank India for her contribution to UN peacekeeping and discuss contemporary issues related to peacekeeping.</p><p>The delegation interacted with Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat.</p><p>"They also witnessed an exercise with troops on UN Peacekeeping. An interactive session on contemporary issues related to Peacekeeping was also organised with senior officers of the Indian Army, Para-military forces as well as veterans who were associated with the UN Peacekeeping," the statement read.(ANI)</p><br/><center><em><p>This story has not been edited.
