Djokovic looks to kick-start US Open campaign on winning note

<p>New York [Unites States of America], August 28 (ANI): Former world number one, Novak Djokovic is eyeing to kick-start his campaign at the US Open on a winning note while taking on Hungarian tennis player Marton Fucsovics in the opening match of the men\'s singles event here at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Tuesday.</p><p>The 31-year-old, who recently clinched his fourth Wimbledon title, has been the most consistent performer in the tournament as he hasn\'t lost before semi-finals since 2006. He will look to maintain the consistency this time, as well.</p><p>Fucsovics, on the other hand, does not hold a very impressive record at the tournament having lost during his previous two visits to flushing meadows.</p><p>Though both the players will be meeting for the first time in the court, it is the Serbian ace, who is ahead of the Hungarian player with a better record in the tournament.</p><p>Meanwhile, world number one Rafael Nadal won his opening clash of the tournament against Davis Ferrer of Spain as the latter retired due to a calf injury while trailing 3-6, 4-3 in the match.</p><p>In women\'s singles event, American tennis star Serena Williams easily edged past Magda Linette of Poland 6-4, 6-0 to enter the second round of the tournament.
